Chess has always been a prominent part in my life. It started with my grandfather teaching me how to play in India. Obviously, he destroyed me when we played, but I started playing with my dad back home. When I was able to beat him consistently, I started playing against my uncle, who was a regional chess champion in his youth. Obviously, he destroyed me. But I've continued to get better at chess, making an online account and a promise to myself that I'd play 5 games every single day. So far, I've been able to maintain that promise. Those games combined with a few local tournaments in my area have been a fun way for me to continue playing.
To the left is a game of online chess that I've played that I'm pretty proud of. It was a near fifty move game, and it was one of my best, resulting in Chess.com giving me an estimated ELO of 1800 when I was really only a little over 1100
